Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced the latest petrol and diesel prices for today. These prices are updated daily at 6 am to reflect changes in global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates, ensuring that consumers have the most current information.
Despite the volatile nature of fuel prices, the rates have largely remained stable since March 2024, when the central government reduced petrol prices by Rs 2 per litre. Prior to this, prices were steady from May 2022 following a cut in fuel taxes by both the central and state governments.
