NWKRTC’s Monsoon Tour Buses to Jog Falls Get Positive Response
Hubballi Rural Divisional Controller H. Rama Gowda announced that the new Jog Falls tour buses, launched by the North-West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), have been well received by the public, thanks to the heavy monsoon rains.
At an event held at the new bus stand on Gokula Road, Gowda highlighted the launch of these special tour buses. The rains have revitalized the famous Jog Falls in the Sharavati Valley, making the majestic Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket Falls a stunning sight for tourists. In response, NWKRTC Managing Director Priyanga M. has arranged special buses to handle the increased number of visitors.
The last day of Moharram, a public holiday, saw a high demand for these tours. Starting from July 17th, special package tour buses will run every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday, departing from Hubballi Gokul Road Bus Stand to Jog Falls.
The bus schedule is as follows:
- Rajahansa bus departs at 7:30 am
- Volvo AC bus departs at 8:00 am
- Express bus departs at 8:10 am
There will be a stop at the Shirasi Sri Marikamba Temple. Return trips from Jog Falls are scheduled for 5:00 pm, arriving in Hubballi between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm. The round trip fares are ₹430 for the Rajahansa bus and ₹600 for the Volvo bus. Women are not allowed free travel under the Shakti Yojana scheme on these special buses.
Depot Manager Munnasaba, Assistant Traffic Manager I.G. Magami, Bus Station Officer Hanchate, Davalsaba Budihala, along with drivers, staff, and passengers, attended the launch event.
