The first full trailer of ‘Thangalaan’, directed by Pa Ranjith and starring Chiyaan Vikram, is finally out. The film is set in Karnataka’s Kolar Gold Fields and revolves around locals rebelling against British oppression over their land. Vikram plays a prominent role, possibly a local leader.
Originally set for January 2024, the film’s release has been delayed several times, with reports suggesting a new date of August 15, which remains unconfirmed. Alongside Vikram, the cast includes Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Arjun Anbudan, and Sampath Ram.
Produced by Studio Green, Neelam Productions, and Jio Studios, ‘Thangalaan’ features a screenplay by Ranjith, Tamil Prabha, and Azhagiya Periyavan. The film’s technical team includes GV Prakash Kumar as composer, Selva RK as editor, and Kishor Kumar as cinematographer.
