Mamaearth Co-founder Has This To Say About Her Company’s Hiring Game

There are several criteria set by a company when hiring individuals. Employers look for years of experience, qualifications, skill sets, and much more. But, this founder has a unique way of proceeding with the hiring process in her company. Ghazal Alagh, co-founder of skincare company Mamaearth, has some strong advice for entrepreneurs to up their hiring process.

In a post on X, Ghazal uploaded a picture from her office, where she was photographed during a meeting with her colleagues. The 35-year-old emphasised on the importance of valuing team members. She wrote, “Your company is nothing without your team members. So, your hiring game should be top-notch.”

She added, “Here’s what helps me: Before hiring someone, I make it a habit to ask myself: “What are the 3 areas where this person is better than me?” This helps me prioritise hiring people I truly value and want to build with for the long term.”

The post has received over 10,000 views and many people agreed with her viewpoint. A user expressed, “I admire your courage, dedication and honesty towards your goals but at a time ethics matters. You’re an example and model to your firm, attire which you wore to office shows what example you’re setting for your team and employees.” Another stated, “Gotta keep that hiring A-game strong!
